Chat in English (英語で雑談) part 201
http://lavender.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/english/1495341862/
Hey!!! All you NEETs, nerds, YouTube link spammers, pedophiles, neo-Nazis,
Yukorin enthusiasts, Nanako SOS admirers, Part-Time-Preachers,
Diplomats' spoiled sons, losers who can't remember Kanji characters,
Big-boobs fans, Weeaboo from around the world, learners of Japanese
who are too lazy to update their Japanese blogs very often, cunning
linguists, stupid fan girls of Johnny's Boys, Touhou pirates, and
that electrical super-gay who suffers from mental disease - This is your thread!
Let's hope the Internet-addicted housewife will come back soon!
We all wish for permanent world peace! No one but me tried to post a new next thread before the previous one had finished
In trade really do english speakers in Japan have the advantage for selling
things e.g. Melkari etc?
I seem be able to see english or not
is not so important.
Do not make such difference.
Fuck all gaijins. Well only whites. I'm so sick and tired of their racism in America!
Don't say that. I also hate white supremacist but it is not good to hate foreingers.
>>6 I'm sick of stupid Koreans like you.
Today is the day.
Let's go to Makuhari everyone!
as was expected there are only otakus
Actually, I 've never been to Comic market...
I live in Aichi prefecture.
It is too far for me as not Otaku to go Makuhari.
>>12 in which city of aichi prefecture do you live?
i guess only 1 hour ride of the bullet train (新幹線) would bring you to tokyo.
not that far from the comic market...
i eat fami-chiki and cola for dinner!
feel like american hehehe!
I much prefer Kara-age-bo in 7/11 to fami-chiki.
that is my favorite as well.
Just nightsnacked pack of karage-kun from Lawson. Im not so good with greasy fried chicken so that's my fav.
I realized KFC in Japan is fucking costly. If you order 2 pieces of chiken, chips, and pop, you would pay 780yen+tax. We shouldn't pay more than 500yen on a fast food meal.
I began to be drawn to black people
may be because I watched the World Championships in London
I like Usain Bolt the best, the second is Asuka. Cambridge.
They are so beautiful, one of the perfect shape as a human being
Jr. combo at BurgerKing is good. This menu includes a burger, chips, and pop. It costs only 500yen. Burger type changes frequently so you never get tired.
>>18 I thought Japanese fast food chains were way more reasonable. Not just kfc but most burger chains in Europe charge around 10 euro(1300 yen ) for a classic combo meal. And euros are WEAK atm.
>>13 But,I seem that's takes a lot out of him.
I shold have rewritten too-iced mugicha-tea.
>>25 In Russian language, how can you call your grandma? barbar?
I know this is a stupid question but I need your opinions.
'Can you marry a woman who is not virgin. Why? Or why not?'
>>28 Are you talking about religious things?
>>29 Nope. I just would say that you shouldn't marry such girl who had slept with her boyfriend,
because how hard these feminist will try to convince you to not judge girl by virginity
but it is also true that girl who had sex many times will have extramarital affairs if you can't satisfy her plus she will not love you more than her ex boyfriend.
This is my opinion. What is yours? I'm just asking.
How about men? Men should be virgin too?
>>31 Men's verginity has no value
>>32 your point is
"I must be a freak because I feel worthy of women's virginity very much"?
maybe the idea is out of date,
>>33 My point was already clearly written on
>>30.
Just read them and answer my question, jerk.
One more thing, If her boyfriend had came inside her in the past then there is a chance that your kid will bear some DNA of your wife's ex boyfriend.
It is the truth
Another sexist trump suppoter here?
a cherry boy who lack self-confidence
but then maybe not, he is just a hentai
That negative mindset might actually disappoint a woman speaking from a female perspective. From what I have seen, girls tend to sway away when they are emotionally very unsatisfied. It's not physical. Nothing to do with their virginity.
If you haven't had any relationship before marriage then your chance of getting pure love will be lost because girl can't love anybody more than she loved her first boyfriend. She can't forget her first love till her death. It is the truth.
>>40 you'd better go back to your instincts
you're thinking too much just in your head maybe for fear of being hurt
sexual relationship is not so simple
not only one way to love
>>27 >barbar?
What is this?) If you want to know how we call grandma in russian - babyshka.
I don't even remember my first love so that thinking is not even logical lol
We are humans, we are not dogs, dogs change their sex partner every season.
We won't care if girl is not virgin but then give us freedom to change our partners every season. Don't listen to those feminists who are inspired by European and American thinking, there is no comparison between Western culture and japanese culture.
>>43 Thanks. ”Barbar” was a mistake. It should be ”baba.” I saw this word in a show ”Chicago Fire.” A character, who has roots in Russia, called his grandma baba.
Which do you watch BBC or CNN or both or neither
>>18 I would remind you that's because of top quality of chickens, 国産.
>>47 BBC
Who could rely on CNN?
>>49 Me. My current contract with sky perfect TV initially includes CNN. To watch BBC, I need to upgrade my contract and have to pay extra money. Annoying me.
the nail of the thumb of my right foot has split in half.
how should i treat it...i don't think just waiting will work.
>>28 No big deal.
>>36 That's ridiculous.
>>45 I sometimes wonder wheter cats do incest.
It seems that incest can happen, but it's not like between parents and children,
They seem to become strangers each other once children departs from their family.
So, what I imagined is not likely to happen ; incest in a family.
>>55 >>36 is not ridiculous. It is truth. Recent study proved it.
>>57 It's obvious that a baby gets DNA from only 2 people.
>>58 It is obsolete concept. Science advances day by day.
>>59 That doesn't make sense to me and I've never heard it, but if you have an English source, I'd love to see.
it's impossible that sperm remains in woman's body for a long time.
in a cat case, one female cat could produce a litter of kittens with different fathers
I had actually witnessed it.
Let me make you sleep forever. Are you ready?
>>51 A-ha.Partially agree.
>>53 Are you a baseball player?
>>62 Right, sperms don't survive that long.
Do you only love noclass conversation?
Whites are racists. Hence this
>>67 is a racist.
I'm surprised that nearly half of the "whites" in L.A are of hispanic descent.
They are not white enough, not authentic white.
They cann't trace their ancestry before entering the U.S. They just say whites
just because they look like whites or want to be whites.
If things are going the way they are, America will be like Brazil.
Who would think Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos are white?
They are classified as whites because they think they are.
The U.S has to have more strict law to administer race.
>>70 > The U.S has to have more strict law to administer race.
Why? Who cares? It's a common phrase that America is like a melting pot, with all different cultures blending together.
What difference does it make if people mix?
I wonder if people mix more leads human races to whether getting stronger or weaker.
I think all Whites in America should go back to their ancestor's lands and let native Americans live freely.
We are facing a sense of crisis of losing our identity in this people mixing generation.
>>66 You have no idea what baseball is.
Toady I learnt another 3 words from FF games
•asunder
•nemesis
•sappy
I think only the 3rd one would be useful in real life
>>78 asunder: into parts or pieces. (Closest meaning would be 'separate')
nemesis: something causing misery or death.(Closest meaning would be 'curse')
sappy: adjective of 'sap'. a watery solution of sugars, salts, and minerals that circulates through the vascular system of a plant. (Closest meaning would be 'juicy')
I occasionally use "nemesis" because it sounds cool to me.
nemesis means 天罰 in Japan
We also use this word sometimes because of cool sound
Why is this thread so deserted recently?
instead, have ever this thread been lively ?
Loniness suffocates me😭
How can I make friends when I'm a grown-up??
Everyone knows that you can't make friends if you graduate from college. Well at least in Japan.
>>84 What do you spend your free time? You can make friends who have the same interest as yours.
>>86 Reading books, 2ch, lisenting to music…they make me stay home🙄
By the way,
at about noon, on August 21 (which is August 22, at about 3:00 am in Japan),
solar eclipse will be visible in North American continent.
According to the Western astrology, eclipse have most effect in those countries
where they are visible.
Japanese astrology lovers have forecast that something happens in the US.
>>77 >>78 >>79 Asunder has a feeling of something that has been totally destroyed, so "separate" isn't quite right.
Nemesis is your mortal enemy, so
>>78 isn't right for that either.
Sappy can also be used to mean overly emotional and sweet, like a love poem or something.
Yas. You are a nemesis. We gotta kick your ass!
Which is better in terms of grammar, "My hobby is to collect stamps," or "My hobby is collecting stamps"?
>>92 As far as grammar, both are correct. However, the second one seems more normal.
But the most common way to say it would be "My hobby is stamp-collecting."
What are the things you should never tell your girlfriend?
FF10 is the best. Any opposition is welcome.
nom-rish FF is not welcome.
fujitsu decided to retreat from the mobile phone market.
the only japanese manufacturers in this industry are sony, kyocera and sharp.
i like diversity so i hope that apple's iphones and samsung's galaxies will not dominate the whole market.
>>101 Sadly enough, they already do. Samsun is even toppling apple. saddest part is when you're in an electronic store looking for a home appliance outside Japan, all you see is Samsung.
Sony and other Japanese products are pushed away to the coners and don't even catch customers attention.
Honda has been picking up with its unique jet plane.
What about Sony?
I buy a new iPhone every 2 years but this year I won't buy a new one because I'm pretty satisfied with my current one.
I've heard lots of good reviews of Sony's phones, but I'm really picky about features, and Samsung is
the only one who made a phone with everything on my list, when I was ready to buy the last couple times.
LG was in second place, but they don't have AMOLED screens, and now that I'm used to this kind of screen
I won't go back to IPS.
i heard Xperia lost shares to 1/10 since 2012.
Galaxy is best choise i think. next is Huawei.
>>107 I used to think of Huawei as a crappy chinese knockoff brand, but they have really turned their
image around and they're making some nice phones.
If you have a Samsung phone in Japan, you're considered a traitor.
so you cant use iphone...
It's totally fine to own an iPhone. Not Korean brands you know that
iphone parts are filled with samsung, you know..
iPhone has lots of Japanese made parts you know
More than korean parts
Ok whatever good work on your research
Did anyone see the new Ghost in the Shell? I finally just downloaded it. Any good?
i was stunned when i found out some people's selfies "at funerals".
they took pictures of themselves with the person who had passed away.
can you believe it?
this seems to be a recent trend but i feel that they just don't respect the dead people.
I saw the news that a robot called 'Pepper' will play a roll of a priest at funerals in Japan near the future. This is totally crazy.
>>117 Trashy people.
>>118 I wouldn't be surprised to see a robot priest doing weddings in Las Vegas, but funerals? That's weird.
>>117 You mean they took pictures with people lie in a coffin?
Unbelievable!
> this seems to be a recent trend
in Japan?
>>121 >>117 I've seen pictures of this in America too. It seems like trashy, vain people with no respect.
I want a new tablet computer like iPad.
I recently purchased ipad air 2. This is very useful and convenient.
It's splendider still to have such a lovely way to go to school by, isn't it?
what does this "by" mean?
I have the 初代 iPad mini but it's freaking slow wheb I use the Internet with it. It's time for me to renew my iPad.
>>124 I bought the new kindle fire hd 8. It's not super powerful, but it is super cheap, and I like it There aren't
a lot of good tablets to choose from right now.
>>125 I don't know enough Japanese to try and translate the poetry of the English sentence, but it's kind of like
the に in 学校へ綺麗な道に行く
That type of word is a 'preposition,' they're usually used to tell about where things are in relation to each
other. For example, words like "on, under, near," etc.
> I bought the new kindle fire hd 8.
that is what i heard before...
>>131 Oh, have I talked about it before? Great, now I sound like a corporate shill. Sorry about that.
Here's what's bothering me.
I join a coc clan. most members are kids from uk. I'm in my twenties. Not sure if it's the age. but I feel like I'm left out. One kid is nice tho.
I wonder if it's my English being a bit foreign.
Anyone ever got this feeling? Or am I just a bit too sensitive?
>>134 are you talking about Clash of Clans?
Fuck gaijins. They stink and detrimental to the society.
I wanna suck a clean pussy
When I was in the gym, I'm had thought about "do the Japanese go to the gym?" What do you thinking about it?
Gym is every where in Japan. Gold gym, Konami sport gym, rizap gym, so on. Most of prosperous station have several gyms around it and they are full of people after workhours.
I can't stop. No I can't stooop!
How do you think the meaning that people who're native english speaker say ”Your english is good” or ”You're good at english speaker” ?
If my or your english were exactly nice like native's one, I guess Nobody say like that.
>>141 Natives probably wanted to say that they were good at english for non-native English speakers
>>144 Hmm before several years I had some experiences that I told few student who're at the same college and from other country ”You're good Japanese speaker”.
Now looking back my ones, if they're exactly speaking well like native-JP, I think I wouldn't say like that. I might say ”where in Japan are you from?”
I really want to know what or how to be good eng speaker. That's why I can decide a binding target if I can know it.
>>145 you wanna be a good English speker like native?
it will not be possible.
ok so i finally found an english thread in this place filled with japanese whats everyone up with

Given to my first priority was that I could tell any foreiner what I thought, so I've not been valued anyting than that.
That I want to know is what to be final target if Japanese including you and I, if we won't be like native.
i got half-priced food now.
>>151 what i wanted to say is that i thought it was impossible that most of the Japanese could be fluent in English as well as
nobody found they were non-native English speakers untill they saw them actually
do everyone here see what I mean?
please correct the mistakes if any.

>>155 You said that Nobody can judge non-native speaker till they meet driectly, right?
たぶん質問の意図とずれてる。I guess you misrecognize what I asked. but thanks for giving me your opinion.
>>152 Good job! Iblove supercup too especially choco chip one.
>>155 Why did you think you can tell by appearance if he/she is a native speaker of English?
>>151 Why the heck did you want to generalize what Japanese people think about it? How can you believe that there is a proper answer supposed to be? You seem to have no confidence even which you can set your own goal by your self. Are you 8 years old?
>>157 Sorry for misunderstanding you
>>159 Sorry, i was wrong.
People can not judge whether native speaker of english or not by his/her appearance
I rewrited the sentence again.
what I wanted to say was that i thought it was impossible that most of the Japanese could be fluent in English just as natives could be.
Once I read this somewhere.
Don't you have an aspiration?
>>161 And? So what? Everyone has an accent. What’s wrong with it?

I'll run off..
Let's talk about another topic. I'm tired of this stupid dispute.
today kimiko date announces 2nd time retire.
Let's talk about mushrooms then. I like shiitake mushrooms.

>>166 I went to her bakery in Ebisu when I was in Tokyo this summer.
Bread was good but way too expensive.
Does she run a bakery shop? Seriously?
Seems like five people in Texas are dead. Wish tons of stupid Americans were dead of the torrential rain!
I'm having trouble trying to sleep
I'm counting sheeps but running out
>>141 You're probably right. If your English is good enough that nobody knows you aren't native,
then nobody would comment on how good it is unless you ask.
>>148 >>174 Hey guys, join the fun. Maybe now the thread will be a little more active. I'm also from California,
and I'm on 2ch at work so it's always the middle of the night for the Japanese folks.
I started coming here years ago, maybe 2008, but I was gone for a while because 2ch banned US IPs
at one point.
fwiw I also started coming because I was a weeaboo, but I like to think I've moved past that now.

At anyrate, I have a question to ask you.
Westerners love to go to Thailand, don't they?
The man who was born in England and corrected my English sentences for some time also lived in Thiland.
Why? For prices are low?
>>185 No, I still live in America. In English, if you say "I am from x" it doesn't imply whether you are still there.
or if you are just talking about your origin, even though you live somewhere else now.
I've been told that Thailand is very cheap, and there are lots of cool things to see and do. It seems like
a pretty popular vacation destination, if you don't mind being on a plane for 20 hours.
Actually, my wife and I want to try and plan a trip there too. I know several people who have travelled
to Thailand and they all said it was really great.
Plus I like Thai food.
>>186 I can understand your explaining well、thanks.
about Thiland,
Is that so?
If so, I wonder why does a Thiland trip gain more popularity in Japan
Japanese people love to go to Hawaii best, I think..
× why does a Thiland trip gain...
○ why does not a Thiland trip gain...
>>183 I think the US has a huge responsibility for Japan's national defense
because she bars Japan from having a nuke
In addition, Japan has provided much money to a lot of U.S. bases in Japan,
which are used for carying out U.S world strategy.
Alongside of the nail of my middle finger is swollen. Germs might have gotten in there.
Off I go to school. I don't like it where I am so much. I messed up my academic career and ended up in a bad place.
I'm struggling hard to get out and transfer to another college. I'm smart really, I promise.
But everyone in my college is a dumb redneck, "いも"
No cute girls either, pure suffering here.
Oh, I'm considering studying abroad for a semester.
What do you know about Nagoya, Kawagoe and Mishima?
I applied to Tokyo and Kyoto too, but I know all about them already.
>>189 Yes you are right, we'll protect you guys.
The deal China has made with Trump is that if Trump attacks North Korea first, China will defend it.
If North Korea attacks first, China will attack North Korea with US.
This way, no conflict will ever occur, so China is pretty smart.
Of course that's presuming that China isn't lying, can you really trust Chinese?
I don't think anything will happen, but you never know.
Personally I feel Japan should have nukes, as I think mutually assured destruction is still a viable strategy.
I guess the whole Hiroshima and Nagasaki thing we did to you might have something to do with you not wanting any.
>>191 Nagoya is nice. Conveninet.

>>192 I think China is basically so careful and chicken-hearted.
She looks a reckless desperado at first glance, but actually she didn't have much experiences
of victory in the large war historically.
In the past she has gotten beaten by Mongolia, Russia, Japan, Britain, France, and Vietum recently.
The Chinese emperor built the Great Wall of China desperately for fear of northern equestrian tribes.
In the Tactics of Sonshi, who was a great Chinese strategist, there is an expression that says,
"subdue the enemy without fighting"(戦わずして勝つ)
I just posted while I am unaware.
To be continued later
Writing English is exhausting to me (;´ρ`)
good night!
I hear that Nagoya style Udon noodle has a sweat and strong tastes.
I don't like Nagoya people very much. They are mean and vulger to me.
I agree. They are really showy and stingy. My older brother got married with a nagoya bitch. She is a pain in the ass.
Still I prefer Nagoya people to Kyoto people.
>>188 Actually that sentence structure doesn't work if you separate the words. It has to be "doesn't" not "does not"
(The sentence I just wrote above, could go either way though. Separating the words sounds more formal or
possibly more forceful, depending on the tone of the speaker.)
a dictatorship country which fire missiles and a country whose citizen goes to work even in the midst of missile attack,

amount financial aid to the country.
Why not UN punishes more strictly to NK that has threatened the surrounding countries with a nuke?
15eyars ago. Japanese govt. saved Korean bank in Japan from bankruptcy with infusions of Japanese
taxpayers money about 1300 billion dollers, At the same time, drastic anti-Japanese education has been
carried out in the schools for those of North Korean descent in Japan.
In this way Japanese govt. has taken every chance to carry some water for Korea, North and south,
who are the world best anti-Jpanese countries.
You may think what a dumb Japanese! I think so ,too.
Gaijins are stinky. They must use a deodrant spray or something before going out.
WE CAN'T BREATHE. ARE THEY TRYING TO KILL US?
>>200 Why is that?
Because of the welthy character of Nagoya people?
I know most of you are Japanese and learning English as your second language. Have you ever learned another language besides Japanese or English?
If the answer is yes, which language have you worked on? Aside to that, I had learned very basic Italian. I found it difficult except spelling. I respected what I had learned when I was in junior high school.
I should’ve inserted some more line breaks.
I have learnt German. at college.
I could learn the language with ease because it differed little from English
in both grammar and words
In this sense, Latin languages seem to be more difficult. to learn
the image of myself reflected in a mirror is quite different than what it used to be 20 years ago.
the hairline has obviously receded and the face skin has somewhat shrunk.
I suppose our English will be more improved if we just post here in English
without worrying about mistakes
I'll give you a special cream for you.
>>210 English has a lot in common with German.
>>208 I studied Spanish for 4 years in middle school and high school, but when I studied Japanese
in college, I think it pushed the Spanish out of my head. I took 3 years of Japanese, but now it has been
almost 10 years since I studied it, so I have been forgetting a lot.
I think coming here is helping me remember it a little, though. I actually write in Japanese occasionally.

"Asia" is a big place, dude. There are many different sets of "strange symbols" to choose from.

Why do some native speakers spell 'then', not 'than' when they compare something?(Ex: It's bigger then this)
It makes me confused especially when it is in a long sentance. I hope they use 'than' instead.

>>231 'gokiburi hoi-hoi' must work well . it's not bad
I also use it
>>231 You shouldn't use a gokiburi-hoihoi, because it calls cockroarches from outside of your room.
I recomend that you set some "blackcap".
>>230 "Then" and "than" sound similar to one another, and
English people in general have problems with homophones and near homophones.
Probably because of English's chaotic way of spelling things.
"There," "they're," and "their" also get confused along with “of” and the contraction of "have"
("would've," "could've;" "should've"vs. "would of," "could of;" "should of")
the "* of" version isn't grammatical but it sounds identical to the "*'ve" versions.

I have a phobia of whites. Wish we had a "whites hoi-hoi". I would put them at the airports all over Japan.
>>237 Yeah, roaches are terribly common in this country, small roach to large roach. They multiple quickly and exponentially. I'm from Germany and used to live 25 years but I had never seen any roaches there, but in Japan they are crawling everywhere!
japanese roach is quickest in this world!
but this spider feeds on roaches in japan.
japanese call him honorably as アシダカ軍曹(ashidaka-sergeant).
And they fly! Terrifying!
Over the past few years, tourists to Japan have increased rapidly. We should be warned that the number of White roaches could be increasing.
Hence we should take proactive measures to exterminate white roaches in Japan before it will be too late.
>>238 How fun can that be?
You dog in the manger!
>>245 That would be so much fun!
I'm pretty sure we can get hordes of white roaches by throwing KFC chickens or Macdonald's burgers at them lol
I will donate 100k JPY if you promise that you shut the annoying ID:1josO2Ok up and ban him from entering this chat room forever
Awww the Nazi is angry lol

>>247 Just ignore him and talk about Germany.
>>239 the reason why no cockroaches in Germany is it located on a higher latitude than Japan, isn't it?
that is one reason.
but japan is humid country, so roaches favor it.

This thread will be more useful if some volunteer native speakers correct English comments written by the Japanese here.
And how about that the Japanese who wish for correction of their English writes "Please correct"or something in name field?
Of course whether or not to correct should be based on the free will of natives.
How do you think?
Or, I should post a new thread for it?
>>257 how about a.zvelev ?
what is the difference between the word exploit and abuse ?
>>262 i feel that both of those 2 words mean to treat someone in a bad, cruel way.
but i also feel that "exploit" means to treat someone in an economically bad way
while "abuse" means to treat someone in a physically or sexually bad way.
that is the difference.
>>262 "Exploit" has the connotation of gaining something from the expense of others (people, places, or systems) while "abuse" does not.
"Abuse" when applied to living things gives a strong connotation of physical harm and sometimes sexual harm.
"Exploit" can also be used as a noun (usually plural) to mean achievements (sounds a bit archaic) or
in the software world to mean a method to gain an ability or knowledge that was not intended by the developers by taking advantage of a flaw in the software.
Otherwise, they are synonyms in general use.
A winner treats a loser in a certain bad way, I suppose.
And I bet this phenomenon will spread across Japan with momentum as the ongoing social status gap becomes unshaken.

>>273 i am a osakan but so quiet in real!
>>279 Do you speak Osaka dialect like comedians on TV?
i can speak such like.
but these sounds unnatural.
i think many osaka-jins arent consious of osaka dialect than other kansai dialects.
>>276 It is similar to differensis between english people and scotish people.
So many Osakajins who live in other areas don't fix their accent. Kinda annoying. Difficult to communicate
i am a native osakajin but when i came to simane during my junior highs,
i was soooooo endured about communication and avoid it as possible.
so plz dont say like that.
I'm pretty sure they can speak the 標準 Japanese if they try. But they even don't try it and expect that people try to understand their language.

that is distorted image by some edged osakajins.
osakajins who lived other areas are suffering their dialect in real.
I remember I ate very delicious takoyaki in Osaka. Very affordable and delicious.
Yo like I'm from Osaka and living elsewhere atm, and if I speak Osaka dialect, crying ass hoes starts whining and get annoyed or whatever, and if I speak standardised Japanese ppl be like "hey that doesn't suit you"
Thus, I no longer give two flying fucks about what I should be speaking, if yall don't like the accent then go get fked out of my face aye
Osaka food goes much well with beer. I love Osaka traditional cuisine. But I don't like Osaka old lady, who are called 大阪のおばちゃん。 they are disgusting

What do you guys think of Princess Mako?
I saw the headline and told my wife, she said "good for her, but that must have been hard."
What is the Japanese perspective on giving up her royalty? What does it actually mean for her?
Kei Komuro. He's decent man. so I like him.
I really appreciate that here is the Imperial family and Princess Mako.
Her highness has been render our country.
I want to her to be happy, although I don't feel like I want to let her go.
I'm concerned about decrease in the Imperial Family.
It seems there is no answer about it.
If it's possible, and If she want not to give up her imperialty, I want her stay in the Imperial family and work some as public activities.
However, I agree with your wife. Giving up her imperialty is good for her.
Finally, she is going to have a citizen ship.
>>299 It doesn't mean anything at all. As part of WW2 America dissolved all noble families in Japan, there are no other royal families to marry into.
Royalty only transfers via the male. In other words, it means nothing. That's what I can tell at least.
>>299 Most of the Japanese people don't care about it, I think, because it has been a old long custom of
the Japanese Imperial family that a princess who marrys with a non-imperial family member must give up royalty.
I suppose Princess Mako would rather do so as it seems that the Japanese Imperial family members have many
disadvantages and few advantages. At first, the Emperor of Japan is just a symbol of Japan. He has no real power
as the highest authority of Japan. It's not like the Imperial family are as rich as the British Royal fammily.. Besides
they must act like a perfect person who are gentle, benignant and patient in public.
Looks like they have no power and freedom for their burden
>>299 she is baka, as well as masgomi who reports the royal family tirelessly.
She and her baby sister are only popular especially the little one because they are is pretty.
Poor Princess Aiko...The little brother of Princess Mako stole the future throne....
the rumor is princess Kako, whose old sister is Mako, goes University of Leeds
because she couldnt get necessary credits to graduate ICU.
she is baka enought to enroll AO entrance exam of ICU not general exam,
which means she exerted their royal power to AO exam wwwww
Do you think Mako has been virgin until she met Kei Komuro? No I don't think so. Mako is a deceptively bitch girl who sleeps with many unknown guys often. I am sure. We can all agree that it is the truth.
Sorry I exagerrated. Forget it

>>343 About the tattoos -
That's what I thought. I heard that it has gotten a little more common for
regular people to have tattoos, but it's still pretty uncommon because of that history.
I have one on my shoulder, it's my family crest. If I went to an onsen in Japan, I would probably
put a towel over my shoulder, even though I assume people would give me a pass as a foreigner.
By the way "To give someone a pass" is slang, it means let them get away with something.
For the guy in the video-
Of course it's possible that he has mental health problems, but it's more likely that he is on drugs.
>>344 I didn't know but, in google research, many Japanese entertiners
seem to tattooe on some parts of their bodies.
However they seem to try to tattooe on background as possible.
They want to do it to look fashionable like a Hollywood star,
at the same time they wouldn't be seen as yakuza by Japanese fans therefore.
I think the result of the dilenmma could be the background tatoo.
In my opinion, your tatoo would be OK in Japan because Japanese people don't see that
foreigner's fashion is the same as the Japanese one.
But if you are a big ripped guy with tatto like Dwayne Johnson. it is another matter.
The Japanese in onsen would feel frightened and go off (^^)

Can restrictions on freedom of speech ever be justified?
─ I don't think so. I strongly think it should be but because of three reasons,
it would be impossible.
First, even if the speech is true, it can humiliate somebody. Moreover, I know one example
that one speech humiliated one woman and she became so angry she actually killed the person
who was making the speech in front of many people.
Second, in the speech, people can lie. Anybody can make one fake speech about companies, for example,
which they just don't like. Because of the evidence-less rumor, the economy can be collapsed. This horrible situation occured in Russia
for about 20 years ago. It is not imagination or just my opinion but the truth.
Third, there was a bad example of no restrictions of the speech. for about 700 years ago, in the United States,
there used to be no restrictions. However, one massacre took place because of just one speech. Since then, freedom of the speech has been
restricted in the country. That's why some countries are restricting.
In conclusion, there are no reason to allow every kinds of speech. I strongly reckon
the restrictions on freedom of speech can't be justified.
I found some mistakes but... I'll pretend I didn't :/
I appreciate if you guys save me

I'm curious about what is like to shoot a gun shot. I want to experience shooting a round at least once.
Though there is a considerable amount of procedures that I must take care.
The smell of my wife's pussy is so annoying. It is disgusting.
>>361 Me too. If I live in the US, I really would like to own a gun. I'm curious if me foreinger can get a gun there.
If I encounter a racist, I'd theaten him or her with a gun. Is this a crime?
>>363 I suppose that you can own your gun in the U.S. if you live there and take care of necessary steps.
It depends on states and visa or a license you might have.
That action is considered as a crime, I assume.
You can put a gun on your dashboard just for self-defense not threaten a person.
If you threatened someone, they might point a gun at you by self-defense.
That action you would do isn't good idea.
>>362 The problem is you.
Anyone here that watches goglebox?
>>363 Threatening is obviously a crime....
A shocking story from my friend.
She is 80 years old. When she was a college student, she tried to take business marketing class.
However, her professor rejected her because she is a woman.
We still have the problem of sexism, but it seems to be getting better.
when she was college student?
>>369 more than 50 years ago.
Wow. At that time being able to go to college is a privilage. She must be really smart and rich enough I guess.
Must've been a hell of generation she was in to have no freedom for happening to be born a girl.
sorry. i mistakenly read as "she is more than 50 old".
anyway why do you have 80s friend?
sorry, I forgot to tell you that she is an American and this happened in America.
My 96 year old grandma was a primary school teacher and whenever she talks about school it's always something Shinan. Don't even know what that is. Is that equivalent to college?
>>374 We just belong to the same club.
>>376 It's not 'Shinan', but 'Shihan'. It's a kind of college, but it specialized in teacher training.
>>378 Are you trying to identify me? I'm scared..
I'm in my twenties.
>>346 I'm not sure what you mean by a background tattoo. Can you show me an example?
I think I would be okay, I'm not some big beefy dude, although I am tall.
>>350 That's really cool!
>>354 I can write more about your essay later
but I only had time for a quick look because I just got to work. If you want a comment on the content instead of
the writing, I have a couple things:
1. The United states has not existed for 700 years yet.
2. Freedom of speech is widely considered one of the most important basic rights here. There are restrictions on
things that can cause a bad situation, like shouting "Fire!" in a crowded theater and starting a panic. But aside from
that,we're pretty good with not restricting what people say.
>>363 Different states have different rules on buying guns. For example, California has a lot more restrictions
than states like Idaho or Texas. There are limits on the types of guns you can have, or how many bullets
they are allowed to hold. There is also a waiting period on some kinds of guns, so if you go to a store
to buy it, you can't take it with you for two weeks or something.
Other states you can just go in and buy it and leave. Easy. I bought a gun when I lived in Idaho,
they put my information in a computer for some kind of background check and I left with my
new revolver in like an hour.
I don't know how it would work for a foreigner. If you became a citizen, or maybe even just had a visa,
it would be no problem. Aside from that, I don't know how hard or easy it would be. I'm not sure if someone who
was just in America on vacation, for example, would be able to buy a gun or not.
However, you would probably still be allowed to go to a shooting range and rent a gun to shoot for an hour or two,
especially if you went with someone who was a US citizen.
If you threaten someone with a gun, that's definitely a really big crime.
>>381 That's very unfair. How can we coloured people feel safe without guns while traveling in the states where there are tons of white supremacists?
I think we should be allowed to carry fire weapons and use them if necesarry like bumping into racists.
I need a time of sleeping in this night.
because I cant sleeping now.
>>383 I hate laying awake at night. I'm lucky most of the time, I usually fall asleep pretty easy.
But when you can't sleep, it can be annoying, and the next day is difficult.
Try having a little snack.
>>384 If you guys are watching me for tips on grammar and stuff, you should know that technically I should have
written "easily," instead of "easy."Saying "easy" in a case like that is really common though even though it's
technically wrong, but it's probably ok for informal writing and internet forums.
>>384 you are リア充, so can you sleep easily not worrying about next days.
My favorite english quote is 'your pleasure is my pleasure'.
Is this often used in casual conversation in US?

I don't really understand.
>>400 I thought Pricess Mako was also at Leeds but actually it was at Leicester.
I was confused...
They can't be accepted by Oxbridge because they are simply not that smart unlike Masako-sama.
>>387 I don't think I've ever seen anyone use that full phrase, but people say half of it pretty often.
It's not uncommon for someone to say "My pleasure," or "It was my pleasure" or something like that
as a way of saying "You're welcome" when someone thanks you for something you did for them.
>>389 I know what you mean. The hard part is staying still long enough.
>>390 Yeah that's the same sort of thing. It's pretty common.
>>401 By the way, "Leicester" is pronounced "Lester." There are several weird place names in England
like that.
>>403 I know that.
As you say, there are so many example like that here in England.
Bicester -> bista
Gloucester -> glousta
>>402 I don't know about that.
Oxford consists of a lot of colleges and some of them are not financially stable.

Considering that, it must be really easy for Akishino family to find

In every terror attack, the Western media say "We must never give in to terrorism.!"

It's a karmic retribution. Whites did the horrible things to other races for a long time. This terrror attack is nothing.

Tomorrow I'm gonna go out for dinner with a girl. Not my girlfriend, just friend. But I like her a lot. I don't know if she likes me. Maybe not. We have had a lunch once before. She doesn't speak Japanese.
Last time I didn't prepare what to talk and I got nervous. So this time, I want to prepare some natural phrases beforehand and gently flirt her.
Can you suggest any killing phrases?
I don't think any realtionship expert here...
>>442 It's best to compliment people on things that they have a choice on.
For example, complimenting a girl's hair is probably better than talking about her eyes or something,
because she deliberately styled it so you are appreciating her style choice and ability to look nice.
Does that make sense?
So complimenting someone's style, hair, clothes, shoes etc is better than talking about their body, because
mostly you can't control that so the compliment is meaningless.
Aside from that, talking about things like work or the weather are boring. Try things like: pets, vacation,
hobbies, maybe things going on around you. Where are you meeting?
If you get stuck, let her talk until you have something to add. Try phrases like "Wow, what was that like?" or
"tell me more about that" etc to let her say more about something.
Don't let her talk the ENTIRE time though. If you don't participate, she will think you're boring.
Where is she from?
>>442 >>444 I know it's not exactly what you asked for, but I don't know any good lines. Just try to relax!
Where are you having dinner? Are you meeting there? What is the neighborhood like? If you

Anyway.. KYOTO! That's what we're talking about.
Kyoto people tend to look down others.
Ritsumeikan University is a famous and one of top private school at Kansai reagion.

We are gonna meet at train station located almost central of Tokyo, very busy and lively place.
From the station we take 5-7mins walk to the restaurant which is kind of decent ltalian restaurant. I booked our table in advance.
I plan to enjoy there about 2 hours and then hopefully we go to nice atmosphere bar.
Last time we unexpectedly had lunch together at casual american restaurant and stayed there only for 20 mins. Literally we grabed a bite and we talked about work. So it would be much different this time.
The girl is asian(not japanese) but was brought up for almost entire her life in the US.
I'd appreciate it if you give me more suggestions.

I think having a sex and giving birth to babies should be limited

nofap is no ejaculation over some period
its eficacy is said to be for example gaining testosteron which is called 'mote feromon'
people who is undergoing nofap over long period(more than 14days or so) can act more energetically, be more criative, confident than usual.
even they become magnetic (women like them)
Steve Jobs is said to have been one of them.
if you hate sex, nofap would be interesting.
it's kind of abstinence.

There are many kinds of people who can speak different languages in Europe.

長いトンネルを抜けると厚く積もった雪が夜の底を白くしていた。
Passing through the long tunnel, the snow piled up thick made a night bottom dimly white.
Help me, Is this sentence wrong grammatically?
>>503 It's really awkward mostly because of the "a night bottom" word choice; you should replace "a night bottom" with "the dark of night" or "the darkness of night" to fix it.
Another word you could use for the second part of the sentence is the word "whitened" as in "the snow whitened the darkness of night."
I would also change "snow piled up thick" to "thick layer of snow," for something like snow falls everywhere whereas "to pile up" implies the creation of a single mound.
Beyond the grammar, does the original Japanese imply that it only became dimly white?
As I am reading it there's no explicit declaration of how white the darkness of night became.
how about "the bottom of the night scene"
I think "夜の底” is a selling point in this novel.
so, I want to retain the word "bottom" in some way
>>504 Thank you for your reply.
By the way, this is native pro's translation.
[The train came out of the long tunnel into the snow country. The earth lay white under the night sky. ]
but I don't think I should use 'snow country'
>It's really awkward mostly because of the "a night bottom" word choice; you should replace "a night bottom" with "the dark of night" or
> "the darkness of night" to fix it.
How about this
Passing through the long tunnel, then the snow layed thick on the bottom of the night made dimly white.
>Beyond the grammar, does the original Japanese imply that it only became dimly white?
>As I am reading it there's no explicit declaration of how white the darkness of night became.
Yes,you are right. but I want to add it 'dimly' becouse I feel something like a such impression.
How often do you guys have sex?
Never, ever. I need a partner first.
Sometimes I go to "tekoki salon" where girls do hand job instead. It costs merely 3K JPY.
Note that kind of talk in your own diary, stupid cherry boys!
>>508 Wow! I didn't know that kind of place and it's kinda cheap isn't it?
But you have only 15 mins. I mean you have to come your orgasm within 15 mins. Otherwise you would think it was not worth to paying 3K
>>503 I can't think of any phrases to describe night, that include the word "bottom."
None of the examples that have been given really make sense to me. I don't know what the
bottom of night is supposed to be.
>>508 At first glance, that sounds cheap, but is it really worth it? I haven't been with a lot of girls,
but none of them have ever been able to use their hands as well as me. Of course, they weren't
professionals, so maybe the girls at the salon know some special techniques.
When you visit salon without nominating girl which charge u of extra money, luck is everything.
If the girl is young, hot and has proficient techniques, obviously it would be worth it.
You feel like you won lottery, right?
But if old fat lady with no technique came out, you feel like you lost your wallet in the water and wasted whole the day.
>>450 >>455 is right about Ritsumeikan Uni. It's one of the top 4 private unis in Kansai region,
the best being Doshisha uni (Kyoto prefecture), second Kanseigakuin uni (Hyogo pref.),
third Kansai uni (Osaka pref.), forth Ritsumeikan (Kyoto pref.). The order of third and forth unis might
have changed. When I was a university student, Kansai uni was considered better than Ritsumeikan.
Note that when we Japanese say about the hierarchy of universities in Japan, it's based on how difficult it
is to enter, , how much score you need, etc. not about what kind and level of education they provide.
It's difficult to explain in English what Japanese university entrance exams system works, so I won't go into it.
So, Ritsumeikan is a private uni, but with some exceptions, it's usually considered that
national universities are better than private unis. It's different from the situation in US, Ivy league are
all private uni, although some state unis such as UC Barkley is equally good as Ivy league.
Among national unis, what used to be called Imperial universities before WW2 are the best, the first is Tokyo uni (used to
be called Tokyo imperial university), second Kyoto uni (Kyoto imperial university).
Kyoto uni the second best unis among all the unis in Japan. No match for Doshisha and the other Kansai region
Top 4 unis. So let's say if you're on a crowded bus and luckily you find a vacant seat and sit on it,
then a Kyoto uni student happens to ride on the bus, remember, you should give up your seat for the Kyoto uni student.
They have a human's brain, spurb one at that, while you have just a bird brain.
>>450 And in Tokyo, Keio and Waseda unis are the top 2 private unis and better than Doshisha,
which means obviously they are better than Ritsumeikan.
About 10 other private unis in Tokyo are on par with the top 4 private unis in Kansai region.
Tokyo university is a national university and considered the best among all unis in Japan.
You could say it's Japan's Harvard, MIT or whatever.
In case you don't know, usually each prefecture (47 in total) has one national university, although
some prefectures there are more than one national universities. If you visit Tokyo and I saw you
in a crowded train or bus sitting, I'd kick you out of the seat so that I can sit on it instead.
>>506 >Passing through the long tunnel, then the snow layed thick on the bottom of the night made dimly white.
You should remove "then" here, but even so, this is parsed as "the [snow laid thick on the bottom of the night] made dimly white" verses your intention
"the [snow laid thick on the [bottom of the night made dimly white]]" both of which don't really make much sense.
To find an accurate translation of this sentence will involve rigorously defining what the Japanese phrase "夜の底" means in this context.
My Japanese to English dictionary gives the same as I stated above, "the dark of night," as a translation which means literally the darkness that comes with night time.
I seem to be getting the impression from you and the professional's translation that the phrase is used in the more literal sense of objects that are viewed to be below the night sky.
In which case "below the night sky" should be sufficient, but seeing as this is a literary work, my instinct is pointing me towards the fusion of these two meanings.
That is to say that the snow whitens the night and the ground below it.
I'm not that well versed in interpreting literary works let alone works in other languages so my interpretation may be off, but I would advise asking around to see how exactly people interpret the phrase and translate the most common one.
It won't be a perfect solution, but if this is the case of a literal and metaphorical meaning then you'll have a hard time finding a translation in any language.
In any case, if your translating for some reason other than for yourself you can include a translator's note to explain the nuance that can't be conveyed in the English text alone.
>>516 I agree with this guy.
> [The train came out of the long tunnel into the snow country. The earth lay white under the night sky. ]
It's after all, only a pro could do that.
Obviously the word "the snow country"is needed here because this is the title of this novel and the essence of the one.
from the original text, the style of writing makes the scene alive, beautiful!

>...the most poor speakers...
As a general rule of thumb you should use the superlative form of a word to sound more natural, so in this case you should use "poorest."
>...Anglo-Saxons. and the most...
Almost all of the English speakers I know don't like coordinating conjunctions starting a sentence, and if you want to use one it would be preferred if you used the comma conjunction structure.
>of the both languages
"The" should be moved after "both" or removed altogether.
>Japanese and English languages are alien each other.
Either add "the" in front or remove "languages," and add "to" between "alien" and "each other."
>Turks, Indians and Eastern European countries' people
While this list is technically correct, it's a bit awkward because of the last item. Try to make each item in a list as close to each other as you can.
For example, I would change this list to "Turkish, Indian, and Eastern European people;" this removes the "countries' people" from the last item and makes all the items into the form of "of ~"
(Turkish = of Turkey, Indian = of India, and Eastern European = of Eastern Europe) which allows them to modify the word "people."
>the most I have ever seen
When talking about quality, you should use "best" instead of "most," and "seen" is strictly for visual stimuli use "heard" here because you are talking about auditory stimuli.
>pronouncing end of his sentences English-like.
You need "the" before "end" here.
>>552 "worst" would sound better than "poorest." I don't know that I've ever seen that word before.
>>553 Well, that's not true, but not in this context. You could talk about Haiti being one of the poorest
countries around, but that's a totally different word.
This one might be a US/UK difference, but I don't see people use "poor" to describe the quality
of things very often.
>>553 >>554 It might just be localized to my area of the US (the east coast).
While it's not that common in everyday use and people only really use it in a really negative context, no one would object to it if you did use it like that
(just google "poorest example" to get an idea of probably the most common usage).
I will agree that "worst" would probably leave my mouth before "poorest" would in this context.

I heard that there are tons of them and a lot Japapnese peoole are harassed by them.
Yeah, they would definitely bully you. By the way why Chinese and Koreans who live in western countries are so annoying? Asian people live in Japan are not so bad.
>>579 Just my thought.
That is due to two factors.
1) In the western countries, being assertive is part of the culture, and you need to be so in order to survive in there.
2) Chinese and Koreans are natural born assertive type people.
Mixed with these factors, and also there's no such a word in their dictionary as "limitation", they just go as far as they want to, in such an environment.
However, in Japan, as there's a unique saying "出る杭は打たれる" meaning a nail that sticks out will get hammered down, being assertive is rather seen as something bad than as good in most of the cases.
And they know that and they try to maintain a low profile as much as they can, in Japan.
>>580 There was one exceptional time in Japan, commonly known as 大正デモクラシー.
People of the time behave more like Westerners, yes assertive.
My late gran father, who was a job hopper and artist, used to speak endlessly how wonderful life was in the time.

Life time employent which produces 社畜 was established in around 1960 so the job hop gran father had not been uncommon at that time.

Were you just using that as a metaphor demonstrating the gap in intellect between the two groups? Or is the hierarchical system so rigid, such that what you described would actually happen in real life?
Remember my Japanese friend, I am but a baka gaijin, I'm not playing by the rules of the Japanese university system. Who knows? Maybe if I studied and took the entrance exam for Tokyo University I would be accepted?

I actually like the Japanese university system, it seems a lot more fair than the American one. All you have to do is pass one test.
In America if you have a low GPA, you can't ever fix it because it happened in the past.
In Japan it seems like you can make up for the past, at least in theory, by taking the entrance exam.
It filters based on IQ rather than grades, which is great.

I met this sophia grad woman today. What a snobbish bitch
We are friends.Don't be so illegally polite.
sophia university is highly rated as a school for english-learners, isn't it.
if i were you, i would try to get along with her if her major was english or english literature.
>>618 We talked about out hobbies and I said that I like learnig English little by little and you know what?!
This snobbish bitch suddenly changed her character like how much she is capable in English or whatever. Apprently she majored in English at college or something.
But the funny/fun part is that I told her my perfect TOEIC score and other English qualifications I passed (because she aked my TOEIC score first), her attitude completely changed lol
I bet her socre is lower than mine lololol
>>599 Regarding kicking you out of a seat thing, the founder of 2chan said long time ago
when he was on TV something like, "if you can't tell if posts on an anonymous forum

For jook, ;) could be (^_~) in Japanese emomticon.
You don't know what typical Tokyo university students were like when they were kids.
They and other top unis's students starts going to a cram school from the age of around 10 years old.
You see them on the trains in big cities late at night like 9 pm on weekdays. They go to school, then after
school go to a cram school and after getting home, they do their homework. They go
to bed late at night. Why? they need to pass entrance exams of top private junior high schools for the
chance to enter Tokyo university to increase. Even after you enter top junior high school, which are in most cases
not co-ed, so the the students wouldn't be distracted by opposite sex students, they keep study hard
for the six years. Of course not all of them can enter Tokyo uni but the competition to enter top unis starts before
you grow your pubic hair.
>>599 The competition is so intense that I'd say you don't pass Tokyo uni now that
your pubic hair grows like a jungle in Amazon (doesn't matter if you've shaved or not).
In case you suspect I'm pulling your leg again, I'm not. I heard the competition is more intense in Korea.
And yes, you could have passed Tokyo university's entrance exam, if you had been in Japan
and survived the competition I described above.
Let's put aside a hypothesis here. It seems like your uni is not one of the top universities in US, although I can
tell your uni is not that bad. The reason? If your uni is one of the top unis like Ivy League and
Stanford, Chicago, Boston uni and such, then the Japan's universities list from which you choose to
apply has to include Tokyo unis, Kyoto uni, Waseda uni, keio uni among other top unis, instead,
Ritsumeikan is the highest... That means your uni is not in the top tier like Ritsumeikan is
not in the top tier in Japan. But it's a good university, it's after all one of the top4 private unis
in Kansai. Don't be discouraged. it depends on who you ask but for most people in Japan,
it's a defenately good university.
>>620 >For jook, ;) could be (^_~) in Japanese emomticon.
Thanks. It doesn't feel quite the same, but it will work.
>You see them on the trains in big cities late at night like 9 pm on weekdays. They go to school, then after
school go to a cram school and after getting home, they do their homework. They go
to bed late at night
It sounds like they're getting used to the Japanese work ethic at a young age.
Is getting MBA difficult?
>>623 Well, it's an advanced degree, so yes.
non-Japanese people dont feel the word "foreigner" proper to use here?
for example,"you are a foreigner" is right?
when and how to use "foreigner"?
Fuck koreans! They all should be put in death camps!
Koreans are the most digusting human-looking animals for sure
>>625 I have no problem with using the word "foreigner"when you're talking about all of us, or if you don't
know someone's nationailty specifically.
For example, you could say, "Are you a foreigner?"
And I would answer, "Yes, I'm from America."
After that, I feel like it would be more polite to say "You are and American," instead of "You are a foreigner."
because it's more specific, and "foreigner" does feel like you would be pointing out the fact that I am not
part of the group, and like someone else said, the nail that sticks out gets hammered.
However, even if you do still say "foreigner" I don't think it's rude or bad.
That's how I feel about it.
>>626 No. Did you only want an answer from someone who does? Sorry. I can't talk about an MBA specifically, but any
advanced degree is going to require lots and lots of school and effort, right?
>>629 Typo. "You are and American," should have been "You are *an* American."
>>629 Thank you very much.
I understood well.
I ask the question because I have read that "foreigner" is unsuitable when describing non-Japanese people.
in an English dictionary on the web
i hate to calling some foreign creatures as "alien species".
alien is the human being who brought these creature from abroad.
Yas! We need to ostracize all foreign creatures, that is all baka gaijins in Japan!

The infamous "Hiroshima Nagasaki" yes, I'm familiar with him since he took over 4chan. Rumor is that he's quite the crook, selling data, but that's for another time.
Your logic is sound and your assessment is correct, I have no disagreements.
What I admired about the Japanese university system was (I thought at least) that it selected based on intelligence.
The picture you're painting though is different, it seems that at the upper echelons at least, it relies on other unrelated criteria.
Not that I am complaining, it is understandable. It is still much preferable to the system we have here in the US.
>Don't be discouraged...
I'm not, I don't care about prestige. I won't treat you differently if you're a Harvard graduate.
If you're an idiot (yes there are idiots that attend Harvard, but I digress), asshole, maybe just too boring, than your prestige can not save you.
On the flip side, let's take you for example, since we're anonymous here, we don't know anything about each other. You could be anything.
If you were a hikikomori who hadn't left his house in months, I wouldn't care provided you were smart, interesting, whatever.
I'm not sure if my way of thinking is strange or not, or whether East Asians think differently.
>>631 Truth is, if you ever heard of the phrase "gaijin smash" it works in reverse too.
In Japan, you can really get away with treating us how you like. If questioned just say "That's how it is in Japan you baka gaijin!"
I know you try to be polite, but there's no real need. Most Americans don't care if you make a faux pas like that.
Same with speaking English too, it's not expected you be able to speak as well as we can.
Make mistakes, nobody cares.
Nobody is going to hold it against you.
Well SOME will. Be careful of the baizuo (Google it), they'll whine and cry and call you racist or whatever.

>>636 Thank you for reply, but I don't quite understand you.
You are an American?
I am not goiing to use like baka gaijin in any case
I wonder why the Westerners came to think of "gaijin" as a bad word.
Originally, "gaijin"didn't mean a pejorative word at all in Japan,
It meant people who comes from overseas, and was rather a good word
with longing eyes for a distant country, decades ago.
When looking at American films, a character in the film often says "Call me 〜(first name)!" impatiently.
From a Japanese view, it doesn't seem like such important to call each other first name.
The Westerners appears to be the people who hate to be keep distance from others even a little,
and like a intimate relationship with each other.
They don't like "gaijing (外人)"because it could bring them a feeling of alienation, couldn't it.?
On the other hand, in Japan, it's normal to keep distance from each other, instead, a bad manner to
get close to others straight away. So, "gaijin" is not a bad word for Japanese.
After all, this misunderstanding is based on culture difference of both countries. I think.
sorry for a long sentence
>>618 How can you find out 636?
>>641 >>640 Yes, I'm an American. I'm saying that us Americans are easy going and won't get angry if you make a mistake when talking to us.

I made curry. I’m tired. But it was good.
>646 I made curry. I got tired. But it was good.SSU?
>>646 That's great. Be careful not to decay the curry.
>>648 How long does curry last if I put it in a fridge? A few days?
Doya gao at starbucks with my macbook now.
Be careful not to spill coffee on your macbook. It’s VERY weak agaist water. I broke mine 3 times.
>>652 thanks for the tips.
the biggest disaster i had with a macbook was to
spill a half-can full of beer.
the macbook died, but luckily I had AppleCare at the time.
the current macbook does not have such protection,
so i should be very careful.
>>650 It's kinda difficult to tell because it depends on how you treat the curry
before putting in the fridge.
The best way is to reheat the curry and wait it for cooling down
(never open the lid to cool down)
before putting in the fridge.
Then it can easily stay at least for 4,5 days or even a week.
>>653 With the applecare, you got the new one free of charge or you paid a little fee?
The current iPhones on the market are water-proof but when will macbook be water-proof?
>>654 Ok. I will try to finish eating it this weekend. Damn! I’ll be super fatty. Curry rice is full of carbos!
If you wanna eat some delicious curry, just use S&B and House's curry blocks at the rate of 2:1.
Don't forget little piece of garlic, too. It's really good!
>>655 I didn't pay a dime for it.
Also, when a thunder struck my apartment, a lot of computer appliances
(not only mine, but also my friends) went out of order.
The repair for that (replacing the entire logic board) was free.
Which should have costed more than 500 dollars.
I saved more with apple care.
>>644 I understood very well, thnak you.
I have never met "gaijin smash" yet
but I'd kind of like to see what exactly are they like. :)
Thank you for meaningless talks.
>>654 Interesting.
Why does it make such a difference between when you let the curry cool down with the lid on it and without?
>>662 I assume if you leave the lid off, more steam will escape, so the curry will be more dry.
>>659 What? When I broke my macbook pro, I googled like crazy and I read some articles that I have to pay a repair fee even if I have the applecare?! I feel like I’m scammed
I really don’t care about how much thin new macbook becomes or whatever. Water-proof please!
>>664 I think it must be much harder to waterproof a laptop. Mostly because laptops need active cooling (fans)
and that requires vents. Having moving parts like the keyboard probably doesn't help, either.
I mean I just want a water-proof keyboard for macbook! They are so weak!
>>663 I see.
The inside of the fridge is pretty dry so that when you put some watery food in it,
the moisture of the food comes out easily leading to getting dry and spoiled sooner.
So, when you have mistakenly gotten some dry food damp, put it in the fridge and you can get it back!
Remove potatoes from a pot of curry and divide it into potions and then freeze them. That's the best.
I even don’t put potatos and carrots. Just onions and meats. That’s it.
>>666 That's a good point. They could definitely make a keyboard that doesn't let a spilled drink get inside.
One fine day, I was masturbating while watching porno with my macbook pro. I unintentionlly ejaculated my sperm all over my macbook pro screen.
Next day it was broken.
use it not for destruction but for prosperity .
>>669 I can't imagine curry without potatos and carrots.
How is it? Isn't it enough?
curry with potatosssss????
that makes it f**k!!!
>>673 It’s good actually. I came up with this idea when I was on diet. Since curry is full of carbos, I wanted to reduce some of them.
Instead of potatoes and carrots, I put a lot of onions and chicken breasts. Full of proteins!
>>673 Have you eaten only curry in a pouch ever?
For example, egg-plant & tomato, egg-plant & asparagus and so on.
The curry has many types.
>>673 I usually don't put potatoes to curry.
I don't see any benefit from potatos
while there are many reasons not to put them.
Bad texture, easily gone bad, etc.
>>675 >>676 >>677 Wow various recipes for curry!
but I like potatos very much.
Curry with potatos is one of 'Mom's dishes,' at my house.
I don’t like those who make sophisticated curry like “summer curry” or something. Curry with lightly deep-fryed eggplants, greenpeppers ow whatever
Japanese style curry is not real curry. It ia just fake. We shoukd call it Karee Riceカレーライス.
Indian curray is real curry
>>680 I don't care either way.
It's remain of delicious dishes for me
It might be better to put curry rice (or Karee Rice?) into the category of Japanese food with ramen.
>>680 In your narrow definition of curry, is Thai curry also fake?

What makes Indian curray so special?
Or do you happen to be Indian?

By the wat, 2ch has become 5ch now!
As you know, one big reason for the popularly of curry in Japan today is the Japanese imperial navy adopted the curry rice as main food on ships at war.
I wonder what was the similar food in other nations navy.

Have you ever heard what Otsukimi Dorobou is?
Dorobou means a thief or thieves.
Otsukimi means viewing and enjoying the moon. People decorate with Japnaese pampas grass.
They also offer dango(dumplings) to thank the moon, thank the grace of harvest, and ensure for a good harvest.
Only on this time, neighbors allow kids to steel dango.
Even more, neighbors are happy to had them stolen because they believe kids are messengers of the moon.
Today, kids drop off around each home to get a tons of sweets.
Old custom stil has great potential culturally and economically.

What happend in Vegas? US is no longer safe!
They are crazy about guns!
Gaijins often say that Asians are bad drivers, but I don’t think Japanese people are bad drivers.
I blame Chinese. Chinese and Koreans always make Japanese look bad because we are east Asians!
Maybe I should put a Japanese flag on clothes like Canadians used to do it when I go to a foreign country.
as long as I know, in this year so far, the mass murder incidents against innocent
civilians happened more than 5 times around the world. it's crazy.
>>706 I do not necessarily agree but recently I read somewhere that
a lot of gaijins living in Japan complaning Japanese people's
bad driving manner. So your suggestion is kinda pointless.
>>707 > complaning Japanese people's
> bad driving manner
How bad?
sadly enough, but there are some people who are no longer attracted to their spouses.
what do they do to be happy and keep them sexually excited when they are with their spouses?
As they grow old, they lose interest in those things. People in 30s, 40s are still sexsually active? That’s kinda gross.
at least i lost interest of self job at 30 around.
>>710 That's not the matter of age.
Almost all guys in this board are gross.
They're totally no class.
I am interested in Japanese internet culture really.
In this picture, we have an American pretending to be Japanese on an American website.
What do you think about him? He keeps posting the same thing every day.. and they keep falling for it.
>>717 I wonder why this picture which you show us has a part of south Sakhalin. Isn't it has no Okinawa?
>>717 how did you know he was an American who pretended to be Japanese?
>>674 You can't really use "fuck" in that context. Maybe "shit" would be appropriate, if you're trying
to say you don't like it.
>>688 What happened? Why is it 5?
>>700 Halloween is my favorite holiday. I love costumes.
>>701 I've never heard of that. How cool! When does that happen?
>>705 I don't know if that would help. The stereotype is about Asians in general, not any particular group.
People think Americans are loud and rude, so some Americans claim to be Canadian when they travel. That's a
different situation. Even if you make sure people know you're Japanese, the stereotype will still be there,
because you're still Asian.
>>707 If a foreginer is Japan is saying the Japanese are bad drivers, he might actually be the one that is wrong.

>>717 >>719 I agree it seems like an impostor. The first thing is, on 4chan, basically you have to assume everyone
is lying about everything.
But also, it just doesn't feel right. The mistakes in that post are different from the kind of things you guys do.
It sort of feels like someone trying to make deliberate writing mistakes. He says things that you guys don't.
I could be wrong. Maybe they really are Japanese.
Maybe
>>717 has some other proof that it's a fake, too. I don't know.

If anything, honestly Japan is probably represented more positively than most countries on 4chan,
because many of the people there are weeaboos.
>>723 I think this guy's english sounds pretending not to be fluent

I can't really tell why, but something is not quite right about his writing

Regarding the map, if he is really a patoriot, there is no way he would
omit the northern territory islands.
>>717 The famous 4ch is like this!
I tried to look the picture carefully again.
I guess there is little chance that the Japanese English learners take "be" for "is".
In the case, they could mistake "are"for "is", or vice versa generally.
Also, don't feel like Japanese parents and sons have such a rough conversation
because some choyo no jo (Confucian teaching regarding the relationship between senior and junior)
remains in Japan.
>>717 Definitely seems like he's using a VPN
>>717 The guy looks like deliberately writing clumsy sentences.
It's weird to see someone making lots of grammar mistakes but at the same time using a semicolon in their writing.
Its usage is a bit tricky for ordinary learners, which means the person in question should have some level of experise in English.
You can find out someone too concentrate on otherone' s smell here.
I think death of that kind of guy is the only to solve it.
I'm serious.
Is that a death threatening? I have to report it to the authorities.

There seems to be a lot of those fake Japanese posters on the Internet.
On an English news site I used to go, I saw two imposters with picrures of
WW2 Japanese soldiers using fake bad English just like that.
Those stupid imposters with unnatural mistakes are very easy to tell,
but there are also ones who use normal English, I think.
Especially, if a poster is using a picture of the Japanese flag, map, soldiers, etc
and making a political or social comment in English, you should suspect them.

This is my wild guess, he lost a huge amount of money from the investments, and this caused him to make such a crime.

>>789 If you want to have real pizza, Italian restaurants are the best place for it.
Italian pizza is very thin relative to Japanese pizza.
>>788 Pizza-la is the best. I think.
but Japanized ones are not very good
like with pork or teriyaki chicken
original ones are good
Domino pizza is a piece of shit anyway
Pizzara > pizza hut >> domino
Reading the comments here makes me want to grab a dominos!
But domino's delivery is the fastest. I reckon they don't cook pizza from the beggining. They just put already-made frozen pizza into oven and make it ready to eat. Thats why it tasts like a bull shit
I really love the green spicy sauce that comes with a pizza.
It tastes so good that I once put an order not because I wanted to eat a pizza but to get the sauce.
i use a feature phone, not a smartphone.
but i can still live in this highly digitally developed society.
i rarely see someone fumbling with a feature phone in a train or bus nowadays,
so sometimes i feel separated from the others, though i don't care much about it.
>>797 dominos' staff are shit as well.
You must be a delivery pizza connoisseur aren’t you?
Costco pizza is the best. It is much bigger and cheaper than Japanese shitty pizza.
>>799 Which pizza shop?domino?
>>800 U cant go back to feature phone once u get used to smaho.
Its a bit annoying till u get used to it but i guess its worth to get over it.
You guys must be so rich enough to buy delievry pizzas! I only buy cheap pizzas from 伊藤ハム like only 300 yen a pop....
Will you guys buy the new iPhone? They are really expensive...I can’t afford
>>808 How about using MNP?
Im not interested in an iphone though..
I’ve been using iPhone since it was relased in Japan. My body became completely excusively “iPhone” body.
I’m even allergic to using android phones. So difficult to use and makes me stressed out.
>>808 What's the good point of that?
It's hard to find out it isn't it?
>>803 Hotdog too very fine.
However, the goods sold in the shop are
not so cheap any more.
>>811 U can buy a phone in a very low price using MNP.
For example, if ur using docomo and transfering to kddi, kddi gives u lots of discount because they wanna customs from other phone carriers.
Im not sure about the MNP situation right now(restriction becomes much stricter day by day) but peoples got money out of MNP
>>812 I like cheese cake threre.
i made a katsudon bowl!
>>816 Let me guess you used the katsu from a supermarket right? It’s cheating!
>>815 Cheese cake is in a cake section.
>>821 Nakau's oyakodon is nice.
Yayoiken's katsudon is nice, too
Katauya is ok aa well
I’ve never been these places. Actually I have wanted to go to Yayoiken because I heard you can eat rice as much as you want.
It’s pouring down outside. Love hearing the big rain sound while I’m studying....
if you order bowl at yayoiken, you cant order another rice, so be reminded.
its applicable only for teisyoku.
>>823 Yes u can eat as much rice as u want at yayoi.
Tenya's yempura teisyoku, too.
Tenya is one of my favorit. Very reasonable.
>>824 Oh yeah, forgot about that
>>783 >>784 Thank you for making me feel welcome. I enjoy talking to you guys.
>>786 I watched the miniseries. I think it was 8 episodes that were an hour each. I heard that version
is much better than the movie.
>>797 Japan could be different but my wife worked at Dominos when we were dating. In America, they make
the pizzas all fresh but they only take about 7 minutes to cook.
>>799 What is the sauce like? I've never seen a spicy green sauce with pizza. The only green Italian sauce I can think
of is pesto and that isn't spicy.
>>803 Costco pizza is surprisingly good for how big and cheap it is, in America too.
>>814 >>815 I've never seen cheesecake at the costco restaurant.
>>816 That looks really good. I love katsudon but it's pretty hard to find.
domino in jpn also makes pizza from fermented dough.
but the quality is ...
You guys always make me crave things like pizza
seems attractive breakfast by nakau!
>>832 Ramen is one of my favorite things. Especially the seasoned egg.
>>833 The prices are good, how is the portion size?
what is "portion size"?
does it means carolie?
>>835 It means how much food is on the plate. How much you take is your "portion."
So do you get a good amount of food for that price?
i think it is enough seeing the price and appearance.
this is the real photo of "fried egg breakfast" priced 200yen and 536Kcal.
http://www.nakau.co.jp/jp/menu/detail/in/64 thinking that caloriemate is 400kcal and 150yen, it is clever choice.
Hello Japs, pedophile here. I last posted in english thread ... hmm, not sure which one exactly, but I think it was in the 50s. A long time ago.
I like the 2channel redesign!
Anyway, time for me to go, toodles~ <3
I want to say that you shouldn't get married in the first place if you decide to get divorced in the future.
Such people's thought is so shallow and I have to say they are foolish.
>>839 I want to point out that those who have ended up getting divorced didn't get married
with a slight doubt that they would end up getting divorced in the future.
So, when getting married, whether or not you decide you will divorce in the future (which is theoretically
strange in the first place) doesn't make a big difference.
I booked an English conversation lesson with a teacher who is an Englishwoman
because I want to talk about Kazuo Ishiguro, who is a Novel laureate in literature.
He has already won the Booker Prize, and she majored in English literature in college.
Therefore, she must be an devoted reader of Ishiguro's works.
I can't wait for the time for the appointment.
Tell me what you think about his winning of the Novel prize.
This sounds like very japanese-english, like me...
Whats the tip for not sounding like japanese english ?
Sorry for not a replying ur res.
Just maybe, sometimes each anchor number here is placed in the wrong orderr?
>>841 I've read only one of his works, Never Let Me Go
The narrative part where the woman named Kathy explains the story is quite something.
She narrates about every emotional flow that usually goes through your mind so fleetingly that you find it hard to retain in your mind if you are not keen enough.
My first impression is that Kazuo Ishiguro is very sensitive and thoughtful as a person.
>>840 Sorry, I don't understand what you say.
It’s Saturday but I’m not going out. Streets are crowded because of holiday drivers. They make me pissed off
>>845 I asked what you think about his winning of the Novel prize, not what you think about his novel.
Your answer is off the point.
>>847 Please do not get pissed off for your health.
>>838 Now the 2ch has changed to a 5ch.
>>848 Just said what I wanted to say to keep the topic going on for you in the meantime somebody else will answer your question faithfully lol
>>850 Oh didn't notice that
I usually write in from Jane and so I rarely open up the homepage of 2ch, 5ch
>>842 Judging from your poor writing, you must be a mentally retarded person.
>>853 You're badly aggressive.
Hey! Today it is the first day of three day holydays! How can you waste your valuable time by doing like that? You must enjoy! Don't get yourself pissed off mother fucker!

>>858 This thread is much better than before. As far back as 10 or so years ago, what people did here was either abusing other people or spitting out a nonsense.
Now there is a conversation! A great progress!
last night, before i went to bed, my house began to vibrate.
the vibration continued for a long time and i thought there had happened an earthquake somewhere...
>>853 That's what happens when an infamous cuss of 2ch learns English.
the way to use "cuss" is right?
"cuss" sounds like a Japanese word カス(kasu).
Maybe the meaning of both words are the same
Interesting!
>>863 According to Japan Meteological Agency, there were earthquakes last night (although there are always earthquakes of various degrees everywhere in Japan).
Out of them, the largest one that occured during the night time hours was a M5.9 one at the Fukushima offshore.
>>863 And you will hear somebody shouting Im coming?
>>863 Where do you live?
I also felt a small earthquake at midnight in Tokyo
Actually I can predict earthquakes
>>865 i guess that that M5.9 one is what noticed last night.
>>867 i live in tokyo too, on the 3rd floor of a small sized apartment that was built more than 20 years ago.
I bought 3 avocados today. I’m happy.
>>869 so put them into your anus.
>>857 Don't blame others for your shitty english, asshole.
What do you guys think about the problem between Spain with Catalonia?
Spanish government and Spanish police did too much because 337 people have been injured, some seriously.
I feel the existences there are stil many downtrodden regions ignored.
After WW1, we accepted ”the right of peoples to self-determination.”
About Catalonia, only Catalan can determine themselves by themselves.
Spanish law court ordered to refrain from doing Catalan independence referendum.
However, activists of Catalan didn't
listen to them and put through the vote.
That was obviously illegal. But why they have to been injured? There must be a more peaceful way to solve it among regions.
In the first place, EU aim to take borderlines away, right? They may glad to see this situation.
i dont know.
most important thing is what to act today.
>>840 Sounds nice for progress.
>>872 Now you blame me too... It's not quite convincing...
>>877 I just blamed you for your problem. But you blamed others for your problem. These are huge different. You understand?
>>878 OK, OK. I UNDERSTAND.
I'M COMPLETELY WRONG. YOU ARE TOTALY RIGHT.
ARE YOU SATISFIED???
>>879 I'm not satisfied until you upload a picture of your DOGEZA
Today began with a bad feeling gaddamnit.
>>850 I see that now. Interesting, I had this board bookmarked, but I guess it redirects here now. Is 5ch a different site than 2ch?
I'm very high tonight. I've smoked a lot marijuana and taken 711mg of dextromethorphan, so tonight should be fun.
I got curious and looked dextromethorphan up in my Japanese to English dictionary, but it wasn't there. I guess it would be katakana デキストロメトルファン?
Anyway Japs, what do you think of how Trump is handling North Korea? Every time I watch the news I to die from humiliation.
This is a strange place where Japanese people are chatting with Japanese people in English.
>>886 That's not strange at all.
This is a thread for learners of English
>>873 It is particularly hard to demarcate a border for countries on the continent.
even Japan, a maritime nation surrounded by sea, has been troubled by surrounding countries for the issue
>>888 We can all agree with you
>>888 I think there are some risks of learning bad or wrong English coming from Japanese people(of course including me) in this thread.
Don't you think so?
>>885 Hello crazy man.
Take care of your health.
2ch and 5ch is different site and each site of them is provided by different servers having different IP addresses.
Now the access to the old 2ch.net domain seems to be redirected to 5ch.net domain because of the sites are in the transition phase.
I don't have any idea what Trump will do in the next step, anyway, I want North Korea to stop their nuclear development.
By the way, where do you live?
Stop calling us Japs.
>>891 Surely, here are too few English speaking visitors
Is there any better idea to learn English on 2ch?
>>891 When you are learning a foreign language, there's always such a risk. So you have to be careful.
When I just started out learning English by going around English websites, I always kept it in mind that there's a risk that I could mistakenly learn the wrong English, even from native speakers.
I decided at some point that when I learned new words and expressions, I'd rely exclusively on reliable sources such as paperbacks, dictionaries, and textbooks.
But as a means to actually use what I learned, I could utilize places like this thread where chatters are not necessarily native speakers.
To put it shortly, it's all up to you how you make the best use of available things.
>>892 2ch still belongs to Hiroyuki?
I heard he has the registration of trademark of 2ch.
Though Jim had 2ch? I just don't get it
>>864 Just for fun.
Don't think twice.
>>858 Then,what are you starting
for that learning?
>>892 Hi Japanese guy. Sorry for calling you japs. I was thinking of it in humor but it is racist I guess.
I apologize. My Japanese professor uses the word, but she can get away with it in a way that I cannot.
I live in the US, Texas. Thanks for talking to me. :3
>>876 Only say sorry isn't enough offcourse.
>>898 I bet your professor is not Japanese. Chinese or Korean pretending to be Japanese.
Live in Texas? No wonder! Texas is a hotbed for racists.
When we were in school, we learned english from japanese teacher, right? That was a huge risk. We used to listen to wrong pronunciation and incorrect accent from japanese teacher.
It is too late to mention about risk now.
>>899 How about an emoji? 😎
>>900 I couldn't possibly say if she was pretended or not, but I can think of no motivation. She claims to be 26 years old though, when she is clearly not thou (I am an expert on ages because I am a pedophile) so she may be a liar\.
why do all Asians basically hate each other?
Not all Asian countries, dude. China, Korea, and Japan, only these 3 countries hate each other.
>>903 I blame Chinks and Gooks
>>901 You sound like, "I'm already fat enough, so there's no need to tell me how to avoid putting on weight"
Well, the pronounciation problem aside (which I don't think matters a lot), what we are taught in school is mainly grammar. So it's fine.
Whether you can utilize it well or not depends on how you make it to the next level on your own. It's not the fault of school teachers.
I mean, in such a short period of time, how possibly can a school teacher make his student a fluent English speaker?
>>889 I suppose that kind of issue we have isn't in the same context with the continent tho
>>864 A cuss is a crude or offensive word. "Cuss" can also be a verb, which is to speak in an offensive manner.
It can also simply refer to a person, but this is an archaic usage and you will most likely never hear the word used in this way.
>>894 You can attain a functional understanding of a language from textbooks and dictionaries,
but being able to produce natural-sounding writing and speech, regrettably, can only be accomplished by spending a lot of time reading and listening to native speakers.
While almost everyone here can be understood fairly well, the relative inexperience with English is pretty obvious.
I don't mean any offense; your efforts are commendable. Y'all are certainly far better at English than I am at 日本語.
>>908 You are very kind
one more queston, please
Then, what kind of word should I use for "cuss"?
”That's what happens when an infamous cuss of 2ch learns English.”
in Japanesea、I meant..
「悪名高き2chのクズがちょっと英語を覚えると、こだれよ!」
Thank you.
>>908 I'm not saying that using textbooks and dictionaries is enough, nor spending time reading and listening to native speakers is no use.
But imagine this case, a non-native speaker wants to learn Japanese and he decides to go read around the 2ch posts to learn the language.
He'll end up in a disaster for sure. Especially when you are at a beginner level, it's much safer to resort to the reliable sources.
>>909 If I'm understanding 「クス/クズ」 correctly, then there are many words you could use to express a similar sentiment.
"Loser" is probably the most universal, or perhaps you could use "Lowlife." Different speakers and cultures have different ways to describe undesirables.
These are two words which are less vulgar.
>>910 Ah, of course. Personally, I'd say being exposed to conversational language early on isn't necessarily bad;
the more you can apply your knowledge, the better. As you say though, what is often spoken isn't always what is technically correct.
Beginners should certainly keep this in mind even when listening to natives.
I don't hate Chinese.
I like the Chinese classics, food and people like 陳健一 and 周富徳
But this doesn't mean that I want my country to be flooded with Chinese people. Same for other gaijins.

If not, which asian girl is the best to marry aside from japanese?
>>917 Aren't the anchor numbers with your comments wrong ?
Or you did them on purpose?
>>919 It really depends on the person you are married to.
I'd say Chinese isn't a good choice in general, but
I have some friends from there I'm happy to get married with
if I have to.
You will not get married with their government and
there is no generalizable rule about marriage.
This thread become lively suddenly. Why?
Because the world comes to the end

Most of Japanese people suffer from depression because of a long-standing deflation in Japan
Only Japan has been left behind by economic growth in the world in these 30 years.
JPN's govt couldn't understand the impact of deflation on people's minds
Japanese government is busy playing with snap election and Olympics now.
>>929 It's hard to imagine how they're going to handle all those tourists when the Olympics roll around.
Hopefully the crowding won't get too crazy.

Japanese government is busy cheating on their partner. They care neither economy nor citizen. WTF?

>>936 Why dont you try to reload your browser once before posting
My impression is that Abe's reason for calling the snap election is Rocket Man. He wants to secure defense expenditure.
His commitment on the free school education fee is only an excuse to attract voters for him.

Why Japanese men like telling stories like they went to brothels?
>>960 Definitely
what do they mean
vulgar
Not all the Japanese men like it
Also if they are not allowed to anonymously reveal such a story, they would just keep it a secret

What the fuck man
とにかく下半身の話や幼児性愛の話はみっともないからやめなさい

yamanashi is the most 鮪-consuming prefecture in japan, do you know that?
it is not surrounded by the sea, so i don't think that people in yamanashi can eat really fresh 鮪.
i wonder why they are so crazy about 鮪 under such a condition.
>>964 true, but i believe we can not solve the "super-aging society with fewer children" problem
unless japanese men are able to talk about sex issues in public and are sexually hyper-active.
it should be disgusting, but we need to stand up to become hentai now in order to come over this serious social problem.

>>985 I don't know much about Comfort woman's statue thingy, but I read somewhere
Korean people in U.S. are trying to have such statues installed on the streets of U.S. major cities.
As you might know there's a Comfort woman's statue (the first one) on the street of Seoul,
right in front of Japan's embassy. Japanese government demands they removed it but failed so
far. Korean communities in America aren't satisfied with the statue in Seoul alone. They want
more and the same/similar statues around US. They lobby local governments in US so that they can
achieve their goal and it seems like they managed to put it in San Francisco, maybe the
first one besides the one in Seoul. Maybe Korean communities in US donates lots
of money to municipal governments' politicians so that they can be given official
green light to put such statues in U.S.
This past August Korean put such statues on local buses running in Seoul,
to raise more awareness among people in Seoul. If I remember correctly,
something like 6 (maybe acrylic-made) comfort woman's statues was put on 6 different buses which
are all stop at a bus stop near Japanese embassy in Seoul. They sit on a seat in each bus
as if they were real passengers. That was weird view.
If you search with Seoul, bus, comfort woman then you'll see some articles.
When it comes to Japanese creativity in the field of sex industry, it's second to none.
They are rich in variety, as someone says above, oppabu, pinsaro, to name a few.
They create a wide variety of services to meet every demand of Japanese men.
Some are inexpensive with no sexual intercourse, easy on your wallet, some are
a bit expensive but you can have sex with both of you and woman naked.
In Oppabu, short for Oppai (meaning boobs) Pub, the further you can go is just
rub, suck, lick woman's nipple with them on your laps. As far as I know, You can't
have sex with women at Oppabu. I read that the women there don't take shower after
their nipples are licked and sucked by customers. They just wipe them with wet paper towel or something.
You could get infected with some viruses. Who wants to lick nipples where naughty old men's
saliva couldn't be completely wiped off? If you ask me, I'd go Oppai pub at the opening
hour so that I can be the first group of the customers, when no saliva can be left
on women's boobs there.
>>988 >>989 >>990 Thanks for all that information. I've heard a little bit about controversy with the statue by the
Japanese embassy, but I didn't know there was more to it.
>>990 I think you have the right idea. If they don't clean properly, that's kind of gross for sure.
I think someone better make a new thread soon...
>>971 >>990 Prostitution is illegal throughout the US except for certain areas in Nevada, however it's still fairly widespread.
It's a misdemeanor, and typically doesn't carry very severe punishments.
People typically think of strip clubs, and many if not most of these establishments prohibit touching.
I don't know much on the subject, but I imagine there aren't many services you can legally obtain.
There are a few restaurants which feature scantily clad hostesses, Hooters is probably the most well known example.
>>991 >>988 >>989 >>990 Maybe typing
>>988-990 could be easier?
>>993 Yeah, I've seen a documentary on prostitution business in Nevada on Discovery channel
or other similar channel. There seems to be lots of loopholes even if prostitution is illegal
in other states. You meet a woman, somehow you and the woman fall in love and have a sex.
It's not a prostitution. It's a pure love. You give her some money but that's not for the sex,
just to show your love to her. In this day and age, thanks to Internet, prostitution is not
necessarily B to C, it's C to C, meaning you can meet an ordinary girl on social media who wants some money by selling
her body. They are sometimes high school girls, which is illegal to buy them, but if women are
18 or older, I don't think it's illegal in Japan. I heard some female US university students also take advantage of
social media to sell their body so that they can pay their student loan or something.
I tried to make a new thread but failed, an error message says, this host can't make a
new thread or something along the line.
I'm not going to promote hentai culture in Japan but Japanese creativity juice in sex or
quasi-sex business never stops flowing. Even at a place where you can't have a sex with
women working there, there are lots of options you can choose from, ranging from
giving panty they wear, giving a photo of a woman, anus licking service, prostate massage,
for masochistic men, pouring urine straight from a woman, woman crouching over your face.
The more options you add, the more money you pay. I think the basic service is
a woman there make you cum by using their body (without using vagina) like
handjob, blow job, rubbing their boobs against your penis. Wait, blow job is an option?
I'm not an expert in the field so I might be wrong about the details but I can't help
but being amazed by the creativity.
Hey, someone must build new thread. I won't do it.
>>995 You are the HENTAI
writing such things with enjoyment
I feel really sicky
>>984 Agree.
That kind of guy has attitude like "no class is cool".
